It will help give you an idea of my work, methods and what it will be like to work with me- whether you choose 1:1 therapy, the free resources or a self help programme.

Up until 2016 I was pretty oblivious to the self destructive and avoidant relationship I had with myself, and how this was affecting my whole life. All I knew then, was that I was constantly anxious; easily irritated to the point of episodes of uncontrollable rage or emotion and I was exhausted. My corporate career and that I had strived so much for had become too much, and was what I thought was the root of all my 'other issues', which included being single, not having children, binge drinking, obsessive dieting and excessive shopping to the point of extreme debt. I just thought this was 'life' and I needed to find a way to chill out, so I decided to take myself off to a yoga and fitness retreat for an enforced rest. What I didn't count on was that 'time out' would lead to a lifelong personal journey and purpose
I met a life coach who introduced me to me and for the first time in my life I admitted to myself that I was deeply unhappy. I needed, and wanted, change. I became connected to myself for the first time and really 'saw' my pain. With a coach, I first worked on the 'outer' part of my life, creating the courage to leave my corporate role and retrain to become a yoga and meditation teacher... but whilst the change was positive and gave me a new lease of life, my old patterns ran deep until I started overworking at that too. In 2020, I not only lost my whole face to face business overnight, but also experienced a sudden loss and was given some pretty mind blowing truths about my childhood and parents, which lead me, on my knees, to therapy.....and this is where my life, and purpose completely changed.

Through therapy, I figured my anxious/avoidant approach to life from a (quite frankly) traumatic childhood had lead me to self loathing, hyper-independence, people pleasing and self sabotage to enable me to stay in the belief of being unworthy and unlovable, and through therapy I learned to love and become unapologetically me- a courageously introverted, humbly confident, valuable human with a penchant for memes.
I had already become a certified and practising life coach in 2020, but I knew from my own experience overcoming CTPSD and rebuilding my who sense of 'self identity' that I wanted to work with people on a deeper level. I embarked on an initial 3 year certification, and changed my services in 2024 to focus on psychotherapeutic counselling and self love therapy; it was the greatest decision I ever made, and it all started by saying yes to me.

One of the most frequent things I hear from people working with me is that early on they feel 'safe' to talk openly; that the unconditional positive regard for them allows them to feel seen and heard, helping them to normalise their experiences, thoughts and emotions, often for the first time.

I like to 'keep it real' in my approach; I mirror your language style (including swear words of that's how you roll) to create a deeper connection and try to use uncomplicated 'non therapy speak' and realistic metaphors to help you on the journey; I don't sugar coat but I am gentle with it too.

I use a mix of therapy, education and practical tools to take away and create positive change in life as it is happening. This helps you progress towards building your courage, confidence and self trust alongside the deeper curiosity, self connection and healing work in session.
